Why do cows drink milk?

Many children do not understand that cows produce milk for their young, just like other mammals. This workshop helps children to understand how the cow makes milk, why the cow makes milk and how we collect and use that milk. With an opportunity to learn about dairy produce before making their own butter. At the end of the workshop children will know of other animals that also produce milk for humans to consume, will recognise a range of dairy products and appreciate that the only cows that drink milk are calves!
